How much does Umrah cost from Pakistan in 2027.

What you actually pay for — visa, flights, hotels and the rest — and how to plan your budget for 2027.

The short answer

Umrah ka kharcha kitna hai? How much money is required for Umrah from Pakistan? Most pilgrims spend PKR 2.5 to 5 lakh per person on a 14, 15 or 21 day Umrah package from Pakistan, including flights. Where you land in that range depends mostly on when you go and how close your hotel is to the Haram.

Umrah package Typical price per person*
Economy Umrah package
Hotel 600 m to 1 km+ from the Haram, 4 to a room
PKR 2.5 – 3.5 lakh
Standard Umrah package
3 to 4 star, closer to the Haram
PKR 3.5 – 5 lakh
5 star Umrah package
Hotel next to the Haram
PKR 6 lakh and above
Ramadan Umrah, last ashra
The most expensive time of the year
PKR 4 lakh (standard) to 8 lakh+ (5-star)

*Typical market prices advertised by Pakistani operators in late 2026, with return economy flights and four people sharing a room. Prices change with the airfare and the season, so treat these as a guide, not a quote.

Where the money goes

1. Umrah visa fee and insurance

The Saudi Umrah visa fee is about SAR 300, and compulsory health insurance is added on top. Together they come to roughly PKR 30,000 to 40,000. Pakistani pilgrims apply through a licensed operator, who links the visa to your hotel and transport bookings on Saudi Arabia’s Nusuk system.

2. Return flights

A return economy ticket from Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi to Jeddah or Madinah usually costs PKR 1.45 to 2.1 lakh. Fares go up sharply in Ramadan, the December holidays and around Eid, so this is the part of the cost that moves the most.

3. Hotels in Makkah and Madinah

The biggest difference between a cheap and an expensive package is the hotel. A hotel 1 km away can cost a third of one facing the Haram. Distance matters more than stars: for elderly parents, a closer hotel means more prayers in the Haram and less exhaustion.

4. Transport

Airport transfers and the journey between Makkah and Madinah, by bus, car or the Haramain train. Group packages include this; travelling on your own, budget for it separately.

5. Food and daily spending

Many packages don’t include meals. Plan roughly SAR 50 to 100 per person per day for food, plus a little for a local SIM, Zamzam bottles and gifts.

6. Ziyarat

Visits to places like Mount Uhud, Masjid Quba and Masjid Qiblatain. Some packages include a guided ziyarat; others charge for it on the spot.

What makes the Umrah price go up or down

  • The month: Ramadan, especially the last ten nights, and the December school holidays cost the most. Quieter months are cheaper.
  • Hotel distance from Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi.
  • Room sharing: four to a room is cheapest. Double or triple rooms cost more per person.
  • Number of days: 14, 15 or 21 days. Longer stays add hotel nights.
  • Booking early: flights and good hotels for Ramadan are booked months in advance, and late bookings pay more.

Questions to ask before you pay any agency

  • Is the return airfare included, and with which airline?
  • How many metres is the hotel from the Haram, and what is the hotel’s name?
  • How many people share a room?
  • Is transport between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah included?
  • Are meals, ziyarat and a Rawdah permit included?
  • Is the agency licensed? Ask for its licence number.
  • Who will be with you in Saudi Arabia if something goes wrong?

Umrah from Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi

The Umrah package price in Pakistan is nearly the same from every big city. The hotels and visa cost the same; only the flight changes a little. Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi all have direct flights to Jeddah and Madinah, and pilgrims from Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot and Peshawar often fly from their own airport or the nearest big one.

Ramadan Umrah cost in 2027

Ramadan is the most rewarding and the most expensive time for Umrah. Hotels near the Haram charge their highest rates, especially in the last ashra (the last 10 nights), and flights fill up early. A Ramadan Umrah package from Pakistan usually starts around PKR 4 lakh for a standard hotel, and goes past 8 lakh for 5 star hotels beside the Haram. If you want Ramadan, book early: the best rooms are gone months before.

Family Umrah package: budgeting for a family

For a family, the room is usually the biggest saving: a family of four can share one room instead of paying for separate beds. Children’s prices depend on age and whether they need their own airline seat. Bring a small cushion of extra money for wheelchairs, taxis for elders, and medicines.
